Fear The Walking Dead Numbers Drops In Week 2 – Still Delivers Huge Ratings
Fear The Walking Dead pulled in 11.7 million total viewers, up 43% from Live+Same Day, and 7.6 million adults 18-49, up 46% from Live+SD.
My estimates thats a 6.5 rating. The average rating over the 2 eps is a huge 6.9. This is only just behind the 7.3 of the original series.
AMC ran encores of the first and second episodes on Sunday night and a new episode (“The Dog”) will return at 9 PM September 13.
‘THE JIM GAFFIGAN SHOW’ & ‘IMPASTOR’ – BOTH RENEWED FOR SECOND SEASONS BY TV LAND
Longmire Season Four Is Only Days Away!
Netflix is set to premiere on the streaming service in the US, Canada, New Zealand and Australia on Thursday September 10th.
UNDER THE DOME CANCELLED BY CBS AFTER THREE SEASONS
It appears it was a creative decision to end the show even though the ratings had collapsed since it’s first season.
A lucrative deal with Amazon Prime to show episodes a day after they aired on CBS, and strong international sales ensured that Under The Dome was still profitable for CBS.
ABC needs to decide on Whispers, Mistresses, and Rookie Blue. Extant & Zoo are still in play & FOX still hasn’t called Wayward Pines yet.
COACH Reboot cancelled by NBC .
The network decided to pass on the project after seeing the pilot. Shelley Fabares played his wife Christine would not have returned due to real life illness & her character was written out as deceased in the pilot. Craig T Nelson didn’t lose out as he was on a play or pay contract for the entire 13 episode run, that meant he gets paid regardless whether the show aired or not.
NBC has not totally killed off the prospect of Coach returning, they are trying to shop it around to other networks and the VOD suppliers Netflix, Amazon etc.
NARCOS RENEWED BY NETFLIX FOR A SECOND SEASON
Idris Elba Too ‘Street’ To Play James Bond Claim By Clueless Ghostwriter
One of last weeks talking points was a comment an author of the new ghostwritten James Bond novel saying that black actor Idris Elba is too “street” I think his way of saying ‘Black’ to play Bond.
Peter Bart and Mike Fleming Jr – He’s a Co-Editor-in-Chief for Deadline Hollywood discussed the remark in their weekly column and it makes interesting reading.
If the author who made the comment knew anything about the current Bond Daniel Craig, he would have known Craig’s big break was as a cocaine dealer in the 2006 British gangster flick, ‘Layer Cake’. You don’t get anymore ‘Street’ than that. Anyways with ‘Skyfall’ the most successful Bond movie of all time, Mr Craig won’t be going anywhere soon.
Sneak Peek: Episode 103: Fear the Walking Dead: The Dog
I’ll try to get some trailers for the next couple of weeks premieres posted ASAP.
Oh a big thank you goes out to ‘Wheely Girl’ for this weeks headline in response to the cancellation of ‘Under The Dome’.
